Every time someone steps on a QSO in progress…

I take a drink of something strong… The more it happens, the closer I get to ignoring the QSOs and paying attention to the drink.

So please, think of my liver, be nice to your fellow operators out there, let them get their QSO, I’ll get to you, really I will. This isn’t a DXpedition, I live here.

You are plenty loud enough here – if your local noise is really dire – do you know what it is? PV power inverters? My website has a number of suggestions on the subject or noise..

  2. OMFG

Thanks – now what bulb base and voltage was that?

    1. No worries. You’d have to buy enough for my whole neighborhood. I think the problem wasn’t the lightbulbs, but that conditions on your end and stations that you were hearing matched up with what I was hearing on my end. A clear spot for you was crammed full of other stations for me. Glad we got you in the log. -Alan

  3. many many thanks for a new country…..chased you for 30+ minutes…working split….dont like to sit on top of another qso…

    1. No worries at all, glad I could help you out, and I’ll be happy to work you on any other bands you want to try out. Thank you very much for your consideration of other operators. As I’m sure you’re aware, not being able to finish a QSO in progress is very frustrating. 73, Alan, 9X0TA

  4. I think I may have unwittingly interfered yesterday, April 8th, trying to do FT8 split on 17meters.

I wasn’t aware that you were operating split at first and then I had more problems when I mistakingly went to FOX/HOUND MODE which really messed me up.

Even though I have been using FT8 since July of last year, yesterday was my first time operating FT8 split and I failed miserably.

I am very sorry if I was one of those who interfered.

    Mike
    WB8VLC,

    1. No worries Mike, the new mode has taken me for a ride a few times as well. I look forward to when it gets more adoption. You were not the interference in question.
      Alan
